Luke's note: The county line question is really a schools question for most families. Before you commit to a side, check the exact address against the zoning map — a few streets sit closer to the line than you'd guess. We homeschool, so I don't have a lot of first-hand classroom experience, but Spring Hill is crawling with kids and schools are a huge part of the conversation.

Opened 2010. Serves central Spring Hill on the Williamson County side, including the Prescott Place and Spring Hill Place areas. Feeds into Spring Station Middle School.
Chapman's Retreat Elementary School
Williamson County · Grades PK-5 · 690 students
Opened 2003 with 361 students. One of the first WCS schools built for southern Williamson County growth. Located off Secluded Lane. Feeds into Spring Station Middle School.
Longview Elementary School
Williamson County · Grades PK-5 · 969 students
Opened 2007. Serves the western Spring Hill/Thompson's Station corridor including Wades Grove and Cherry Grove. Amanda H. North Elementary was built partly to relieve its overcrowding. Feeds into Heritage Middle School.

Opened August 2023. Newest WCS elementary in Spring Hill, named after Williamson County's first African American principal (1934). Built to relieve overcrowding at Allendale, Heritage, Longview, and Thompson's Station Elementary. Feeds into Spring Station Middle School.

Opened 1999 in Thompson's Station. Zones for some Spring Hill-area addresses on the Williamson County side. Feeds into Heritage Middle School.
Bethesda Elementary School

Predates 1992; one of the oldest WCS schools in southern Williamson County. Located on Bethesda Road in Thompson's Station. Has split four times to form Heritage Elementary (1999), Chapman's Retreat (2003), Oak View (1994), and Thompson's Station Elementary (2018). Feeds into Spring Station Middle School.
Spring Hill Elementary School
Maury County · Grades PK-4 · 445 students
Current building opened 1983; educational roots trace to 1817 Willeford's School. One of the oldest schools in the Spring Hill area. Located on Main Street. Feeds into Spring Hill Middle School.
Marvin Wright Elementary School
Maury County · Grades PK-4 · 629 students
Opened fall 2006 on Derryberry Lane, built on land donated by local families and Cornerstone Land Company. Created to relieve overcrowding at Spring Hill Elementary. Feeds into Spring Hill Middle School.
Battle Creek Elementary School

Opened August 2019 on the 242-acre Battle Creek campus alongside Battle Creek Middle School. STEM-designated school. Feeds into Battle Creek Middle School.

Opened fall 2004 in Thompson's Station at a cost of $29 million. GreatSchools rating 10/10. 95% graduation rate, 76% of students meet ACT college readiness benchmarks. 35% AP participation across 27 AP offerings.
Spring Hill High School
Maury County · Grades 9-12 · 1,243 students
Originally opened 1933; moved to current building in 1992. Located in Columbia, not Spring Hill proper. Enrollment shrinking as Battle Creek High absorbs students. 88% graduation rate.
Battle Creek High School
Maury County · Grades 9-11 · 800 students
Opened August 5, 2024 with 800 students. $70 million facility on 200+ acre campus. Adding grade 12 in 2026-27 to become a full 9-12 school. First new high school in the Spring Hill area of Maury County. No state test data yet.
